Recently, two of our AP Studio art students, Danya Bischel and Kaitlin Kelley, were selected to represent ORR in the Emerging Young Artist 2019 Juried Exhibition. This annual exhibit is hosted by the College of Visual and Performing Arts (CVPA) at the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth. Bischel and Kelley, both Seniors and AP Studio Art Students, submitted artwork which was accepted into this extremely competitive New England Regional High School Exhibit. Bischel and Kelley’s works were two of the 80 that were chosen.
The exhibition will be on view in the CVPA Campus Gallery on the first floor of the CVPA building at UMass Dartmouth, 285 Old Westport Road, Dartmouth from January 22 to February 9. The EYA 2019 exhibition reception for the exhibiting young artists, their art teachers, the UMass Dartmouth community, and the general public will be held on Saturday, February 9, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm (Snow day: Sunday, February 10). Awards will be presented by Dean Laura Franz at 2:30 pm. Parking for the event is Lot 4. Please join us in celebrating our thriving artists!
