The Mattapoisett Congregational Church would like to thank all who participated in our first Drive and Drop food collection on Thursday, September 17. Thanks to the generosity of community and church members, we were able to donate over 400 pounds of nonperishable foods to Damien’s Pantry. We will be continuing to collect food on the third Thursday of the month; the next collection is on Thursday, October 15, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Please encourage your friends and neighbors to participate. Items such as cooking oil, breakfast foods, dish detergent and oral hygiene products are especially welcome. Please help us do our part to eradicate food insecurity on the South Coast.
