George M. Graham Jr.

George M. Graham Jr., “Jock,” 91, of Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on August 23, 2026, at Parlin Hospice in Wayland, Massachusetts.

            Born June 30, 1935, in Malden, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late George M. Graham Sr. and Helen Knowlton Whedon Graham. He was the brother of the late Robert W. Graham and William F. Graham.

            Jock graduated from St. Paul’s School and attended Yale University before graduating from Boston University. Above all else, he dedicated his life to his family. He spent his entire career with The First National Bank of Boston, which later became Bank of Boston and BankBoston, working in the Personal Trust Division and later with The Private Bank. He made his home in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts.

            He was the husband of the late Judith Gay Graham. He is survived by his sons, Andrew D. Graham of Quincy, Massachusetts, and George M. Graham III, MD, of Boston, Massachusetts; his nephews, Robert F. Graham of Melrose, Massachusetts, and John K. Graham of Mechanicsburg, Virginia; and his nieces, Martha G. Kirkpatrick of Boothbay Harbor, Maine, and Alice B. Kirkpatrick of Pownal, Maine.

            A private family service will be held at a later date.
