Representatives stated they had received over 200 responses at the time of the meeting to their posted survey, which has since closed since the time of the meeting. they have yet to analyze comments but will provide feedback at a future meeting. Kristen said, “Next time we meet, hopefully we’ll have a list of issues and opportunities to go over with you guys.”
There was a quick discussion on Island Wharf, with it being stated that work on the water main installation would begin in the fall. For a Memorial Park, it was noted they are still in the fact-finding portion, noting that materials are available, though they are still seeking adequate shade cover for the proposed park.
The next meeting of the Marion Marine Resource Commission is scheduled for Wednesday, July 15 at 6:00 pm in the Marion Marine Center.
