2026 Mattapoisett Road Race

Despite the hot and humid weather, the Mattapoisett Road Race was a great success. More than 1400 runners registered for the race. Henry Myers of San Diego was the overall winner with a time of 21:03.6 minutes and Abigail Hassman of Foxboro was the women’s winner with a time of 22:14.6. Lowell Copps was the first Mattapoisett resident to cross the finish line. Thank you to our many sponsors and volunteers.

Proceeds from the race are used to fund stipends for newly graduated ORRHS athletes. The 2026 recipients are Carly Mello, Logen Pinto, Amanda Ignacio, Emma Johnson, Brady Maguire and Henry Berry from Mattapoisett; Caroline Houdelette, Delilah Post and Katherine Young from Marion; Hadley King, Brody Hiles, Kaitlyn Rodriques and Brendan Foster from Rochester; and Jayden Aguiar from Acushnet. Receiving the Bob Gardner Award, named for the founder of the Mattapoisett Road Race is Ella Milhench of Marion. The recipient of the Danny White Award, named for a former director of the road race who continues to volunteer tirelessly, is Linden White, of Mattapoisett. We congratulate these students and wish them well in their college studies.
