The Teen Summer Reading Challenge continues at MFPL. Teens who read books from their assigned reading list and fill out a book review get to pick a prize. Students going into grades 7-12 are eligible to participate.
Calling all gamers. The library is hosting a Teen Video Game Takeover on July 21 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Use the library’s PlayStation or Switch consoles to play a variety of fun games. Play with friends, improve your video game skills, and enjoy a snack. No registration required, just drop in. This session is for Grades 6 and up.
Jennifer Mason-Black, author of the YA novel “Sometimes the Girl,” is visiting the Mattapoisett Library for an Author Talk on August 8 at 2:00 pm. Teens who read “Sometimes the Girl,” write a book review on it, attend related programs, and/or attend the author talk will earn raffle tickets for the chance to win a themed gift basket.
