ORR Track Team Continues Success

Old Rochester Boys and Girls Track – The ORR boys and girls had a meet with Bourne High School this week and once again ORR came out on top. Some standouts from the meet were Ally Saccone who won both the 100 and 400-meter hurdles, and Janice Weldon, who placed well in both the mile and the two mile. Next up, ORR faces Apponaquet.

            Old Rochester Boys Tennis – The boys unfortunately lost to Fairhaven High School 3-2, but there were still some excellent performances. Matt Teefy won both of his matches, both scored at 6-1, and Jake Jaskolka won two out of three with individual scores of 6-2, 2-6, and

7-6.

They then recovered from this loss with a resounding win over Wareham 5-0. Once again, Teefy won both his singles matches 6-0 and 6-2, and for doubles Noah Filloramo and Alden Truesdale came out on top with scores of 6-1 both times.

The boys continued on this winning path, defeating Bourne High School 5-0. Ollie Sughrue was victorious in both his singles matches with scores of 6-3 and 6-1, and again the team of Noah Filloramo and Alden Truesdale won 6-1 and 6-3. ORR’s record is now 5-3 overall and 4-2 in the SCC.

Old Rochester Softball – The ORR girls earned their first win of the season over Wareham High School with a score of 11-2. Kaleigh Goulart helped out the Bulldogs by pitching well and getting three hits and scoring two runs, and Sarah Marchisio and Jen Galavotti had two hits apiece.

ORR continued to do well, hosting Bourne High School and beating them 21-5. Again, Kaleigh Goulart pitched very well for the Bulldogs and was three for four at the plate with two doubles and three runs scored. Molly Magee, Kristen Fuller, Michaela Guard, and Sarah Marchisio also all chipped in to win with two hits apiece. Next up, they play New Bedford Voke.

Old Rochester Lacrosse – ORR did very well against Pope John Paul beating them 22-6. Good performances in the game included Cam Severino who had five goals and four assists, and Ethan Lizotte with four goals and four assists. Other scorers include Gared Glavin with four, Max Houck with three, Peter Krause with two, and Scott Kimball, Bobby Stickles, Chad Santello, and Erik Sprague each with one.

ORR also was successful in defeating New Bedford Voke 8-0. Goalie Anthony Cammarano did well with 13 saves, and Cam Severino was once again the top scorer for ORR with three goals.

The Bulldogs continued this winning streak, beating Bourne 9-2. Mike Durocher led the way in scoring with four goals, and Cam Severino had three. Their record now stands at 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the SCC.
