Football Gears Up for Apponequet

Old Rochester Boys and Girls Cross Country – The final meet for the boy’s team, All States, took place this past weekend at Northfield Mountain. Sophomore Mike Wyman placed 15th with a time of 16:39, and junior Nick Pacheco placed 55th with a time of 17:18. This finishes up a very successful season for the boys who only lost to one school, New Bedford Voke, in their regular season. While the girls team didn’t send anyone to All States, they finished their season undefeated winning both the conference and the SCC meet.

Old Rochester Football – There was no game this week for the Bulldogs, but they continue to gear up for the much anticipated Thanksgiving game against Apponequet High School on Thursday. This is the second time the teams have gone against each other this season, and it’s sure to be an eventful game.

As the fall season comes to a close, coaches and players wrap up their wins and losses and begin to prepare for their winter seasons. While the following sports have concluded their seasons, here is a recap of their records.

Old Rochester Girls Soccer – The girls wrapped up a successful season last week, making it into the first found of the state tournament. Their record stands at 13-3-2.

Old Rochester Boys Soccer – The Bulldogs had quite a lot to talk about this season from being undefeated at home to breaking Voke’s seven year home winning streak, but it all ultimately ended up in the quarterfinal round of the state tournament. Their record now stands at 15-3-2.
