To the Editor:
I would like to express my deepest thanks to the emergency services in the town of Mattapoisett for their rapid response to the scene of the car accident on Brandt Island Road last week.
I was the driver that was trapped in the wreck in wet and snowy conditions as the car lay on its side. The police, fire and EMTs who responded were calm, experienced and professional, but most of all were caring.
I would also like to thank the staff at the ER in Tobey Hospital.
We are indeed fortunate to have these resources at hand when emergencies arise.
My family and I are very grateful. Life is precious. Hug your loved ones every day.
