Marion Recreation is pleased to announce the beginning of our Marconi Station Wrestling Program for the 2015/2016 season. Boys and girls from kindergarten to 8th grade may attend. Information and Registration Night is Wednesday, November 18 from 6:15 – 8:00 pm at the Marion Recreation Building, 13 Atlantis Drive. Cost is $95 which includes singlet and T-shirt. Just in time for the holidays, Marion Recreation Department is offering a Home Alone class followed by a Babysitting class. Offered on Friday night, November 13, Home Alone will cover telephone protocol, basic first aid and is designed to encourage children to be more independent and comfortable when home alone. Boys and girls ages 9-11 years old may attend. It is offered from 4:00 – 6:30 pm, and pizza will be provided. Cost is $45 per student. Registration deadline is November 9.
Babysitting is offered immediately following the Home Alone class. This class is designed for boys and girls from 11-14 years old. It will be held from 6:30 – 9:00 pm at the Marion Recreation Department. The course will cover first aid, and gives the children the knowledge and confidence to become a great babysitter. Cost is $40 per student. Registration deadline is November 9.
