Mattapoisett SEPAC Officer Vacancy

The Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is seeking a Mattapoisett resident to serve as an elected officer. The SEPAC is led by three officers – one from each community within the Tri-Town. The Mattapoisett SEPAC officer role is currently vacant. Massachusetts state law requires all public school districts to maintain a Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) open to all parents of students with disabilities, and all other interested parties. SEPACS’ key points: Advise the school committee on matters pertaining to the education and safety of students with disabilities; meet regularly with school officials to participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of special education programs; receive assistance from the school committee without charge, upon reasonable notice, and subject to the availability of staff and resources.
