8th Annual Touch a Truck

To the Editor:

The Marion Recreation Department would like to sincerely thank the many organizations and partners that helped make our 8th Annual Touch a Truck event on Saturday a great success. Members of various departments including Marion Police, Fire/EMS, Harbormaster, and DPW were all present and brought equipment and trucks to this great community event. They also donated numerous hours of time and many stayed to interact with the families and children who visited that day. A special thank you to the participating businesses, the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department and the Massachusetts State Police for their involvement as well. Additionally, we would like to thank our great maintenance and support staff for all their assistance in setting up, working, and breaking down everything for the day. More than 300 people visited Washburn Park for this kick off to spring and we are very excited for another great spring/summer filled with activities, events and fun.

            Respectfully,

Jody Dickerson – Director

Marion Recreation Department
