I am very sorry to hear about Jack’s passing. I worked with him in many marketing endeavors with him when I was the Supervisorvof Marine Facilities with the City of Fort Lauderdale from 1985 to 2010. He coined the term “Boat Show Road Show” which was a marketing scheme designed to travel to boat shows representing the City of Fort Lauderdale Marine Facilities.

We worked very hard to make the program work and even attended the Toronto International Boat Show which was a huge success. He was somewhat of a pioneer in his knowledge of marketing in the public and private secitors of the Marine Industry. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Marine Industries Association of South Florida. He will be remembered for his professionalism and keen awareness of finding new ways to achieve whatever goals he established for himself. He will be truly missed!

    God bless him!

I just learned of johns passing. I am so saddened. This may not reach u as it has been 3 years. I have to admit at age 13 and John at 12 yes our first love blossomed. Always such a special time. I think of him often have searched to see what life he created. Not surprised in anyway his sales experience and notably keeping him close to his love of sailing. I’ve missed him for years and cherish our special relationship. My condolences to family. I so remember his commitment to family sisters/jeane Cathy Gail. I know he left a big hole in hearts-as mine to this day.

So sad to come across Jack’s obituary – I worked with Jack in Woodshole His personality lit up the room. Sailing on the Seven Bells off Woodshole – quite the sailor! I do know he loved his daughter Cristina – I know his family will miss him terribly. Rest in Love, Jack – you will be missed –
