Jack F. Bravo

Jack F. Bravo, 60, of Holden, MA died May 30, 2022 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Worcester after a brief illness.

            Born in Worcester, son of the late Gloria (Willis) Bravo and the late Joaquim F. Bravo, Jr., he was raised in Leicester and lived in Holden many years.

            He was employed as a software engineer at TestVonics, Inc., Circuit Test and Data General.

            He enjoyed casinos, playing pool, poker, travel and the company of friends.

            He was a graduate of St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury and Worcester Polytechnic Institute graduating in top 5 of both schools.

            Jack was known for his great big hugs and being there for his family and friends. He was very proud of his Godson Josh and so wanted to be at his graduation. Jack was a wealth of knowledge and even considered trying out for Jeopardy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

            Survivors include his step-father, Ray Wartman; 3 cousins, Laurie Fernandes and her husband Robert, Jack Macedo and his wife Susie and Michael Fontes and his wife Gloria; his step-sister, Heather Herron; and his Godson, Joshua Fernandes.

            His Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 10th at 11:30 am in St. Francis Xavier Church, 125 Main St., Acushnet. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Fairhaven. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the charity of your choice in Jack’s memory. Arrangements are with the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett.
