Pair Arrested Committing Rochester House Break

After warning residents about two house breaks on Thursday, the Rochester Police and  a task force of detectives from Duxbury, Middleboro, Marshfield, Mattapoisett, Pembroke, and Plympton arrested 26 year old Nathaniel Gibbs of Tyler Drive in Sandwich and 27 year old Robert Peterson of Cedar Street in Kingston while they were in the act of burglarizing a home in the 60 block New Bedford Road in Rochester this morning.

The task force had the pair under surveillance and with the assistance of Rochester Police took the pair into custody after observing them entering the New Bedford Road home. Duxbury Detective Dennis McKenney had developed information possibly implicating the pair in recent Duxbury breaks. At the same time investigators from the other communities had become interested in the same group for recent breaks in each community. The investigators joined forces to conduct surveillance of the pair resulting in their arrest today.

The pair was taken into custody by Rochester Police and were transported to the Rochester Police Station for booking. Both are being held on cash bail and will be arraigned Wednesday at the Wareham District Court on burglary and other charges.
