COA Peer Review – Monday, February 11. This visit from 2 COA Directors in Connecticut culminates a 1 1/2 year process to achieve national senior center accreditation for another five years. Over 65 volunteers participated in the self-assessment process. Please stop by and visit with the reviewers for a few minutes! Those of you who participate in programs at the Rochester Senior Center are especially encouraged to share your experiences. The Rochester Senior Center has been accredited since 2007.

            2018 Annual Year of Remembrance Program, Friday, February 15, 2019 at 1:00 pm. This event is an opportunity to celebrate the lives and memories of friends and volunteers of the Rochester Senior Center who passed away in 2018. All are welcome to join us. Refreshments will be served, and there is no cost. We do ask that, if possible, you let us know if you plan to attend so that we know how many people to expect.

            Special Luncheons: Monday, February 25at 12:00 pm. Mike & Ann are preparing lunch at the Rochester Senior Center! Please RSVP so that we are sure to have plenty to eat!

            Senior Book Club: Tuesday, February 19at 10:15 am at the Rochester Senior Center. February’s book for discussion is I Heard the Owl Call My Name, by Margaret Craven. Rochester’s Library Director leads this group.

            Ballroom Dancing Classes – Singles and couples are welcome on Wednesdays at 10:00 am. Classes are led by instructor Nancy Barrett. There is a suggested donation of $4.00 per person! All skill levels are welcome and there is no need to sign up in advance.

            Zumba – Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. Cost is $5.00 per class.

            Podiatrist Appointments: Dr. Sarah Desrosiers is available by appointment on Thursday, February 28. If you have not seen her before, please call her office to schedule an appointment. 508-946-1444. If you are a returning patient, the doctor’s office will contact you to confirm your appointment.

            Movies are shown every Friday at 1:30 pm. All are welcome and there is no charge.
