From the Files of the Rochester Historical Society

Happy New Year from the Rochester Historical Society. Thank you for your support throughout 2025. While we will be closed until Spring, as always, we are happy to open by appointment. Just give us a heads up, so we can heat up the building. If you have a historical question or want to make a donation of any type, you can get in touch at sash48@comcast.net or 508-295-8908 or eshbach2@aol.com or 617-750-2818.

We will be starting our membership drive in January. Our first meeting of 2026 will be April 15 at 7:00 pm at the Museum. So far, that meeting will be Genealogy and the Revolution.

Our current exhibit, “The Tools and Industries That Made Rochester” will still be up this spring. Late spring, early summer, we will be debuting our 2026 exhibit, “Rochester and the Revolution”. Many of our upcoming 2026 events will be in collaboration with others in our community, among them: Plumb Library, Rochester Historical Commission and the COA.

Have a happy and healthy new year and we hope you’ll be joining us.
