The Elizabeth Taber Board of Library Trustees has appointed Elisabeth “Libby” O’Neil as the new Head Librarian at the Elizabeth Taber Library in Marion. She will take the place of Judith Kleven who is retiring May 31 after 26 years. Before accepting this job, O’Neil was the Youth and Community Outreach Librarian for the Boston Public Library at Copley Square, Boston and was the former Children’s Librarian at the South Boston Branch of the Boston Public Library. Ms. O’Neil will start her new job in Marion on Monday, June 3.
Mrs. O’Neill will be a great asset to Marion, with her energy, creativity and drive. Her ability to shape a positive atmosphere is contagious and vibrant.
