David Orwig, Senior Ecologist and Forest Ecologist with Harvard Forest will be sharing his research into the presence of old-growth forests in our state on March 31, 7:00 – 8:00 pm. The talk will include a broad discussion of old-growth forests in Massachusetts- What are they? Where are they? And what can they tell us? Through pictures and data from many old-growth forests in the state, many aspects of why these rare forest gems are so special will be described along with the many threats they face.
