Tabor Academy Presents a Week of Song and DanceJoin Tabor Academy for some music and dance. From May 13- 20, there are three music concerts and a dance recital to enjoy, all free and open to the public. 

            If you love choral music, come out on May 13 and May 17for two concerts. The Chamber Music Recital features the mixed chorus and female chamber choir performing in Lyndon South Auditorium (May 13 at 6:30 pm at 242 Front Street, Marion). Next is the Madrigals Concert, including select choirs singing a cappella on May 17 in Wickenden Chapel at 7:00 pm (86 Spring Street, Marion). 

            Next, on May 16, the Tabor Academy Dance Team takes the stage for their Spring Recital; it will be an explosion of dance. At 22 students strong, Tabor Academy Dance Team has won numerous awards for their creative dance routines in competition. They will be presenting their opening number “An Explosion of Dance,” which will include many forms of dance such as tap, pointe, Latin, stepping, line dancing, and more. Other numbers include a Latin piece, a modern dance, and lyrical and a cappella tap. Student performances will be solos, duets, and company numbers. Come out for a terrific evening of dance at 6:30 pm in the Fireman Center for the Performing Arts in Hoyt Hall, 245 Front Street, Marion. 

            On May 20, instrumental music students will give a recital featuring pieces they have individually prepared for performance at 6:30 pm in Lyndon South (242 Front Street). The variety and quality of the music offered is always exciting.

            Each of these four performances are open to the public, no tickets required. All you have to do is show up and enjoy the show.
