Seek out Local Birds with the BBC

Join the Buzzards Bay Coalition to look and listen for songbirds, shorebirds, and raptors on Saturday, May 25at 8:00 am at Nasketucket Bay State Reservation (94 Brandt Island Rd., Mattapoisett). With the birding expertise of Nate Marchessault, president of the South Shore Bird Club, we’ll search for birds in forest, farmland, and along the rocky shoreline of Nasketucket Bay.

Thanks to its variety of habitat, Nasketucket Bay State Reservation hosts a great diversity of birds, and we’ll try to identify those that we see. Whether you are a fledgling or an expert flyer, all are welcome — just bring your binoculars and your listening ears.
