Once again the Mattapoisett Woman’s Club offers Great Decisions, a community outreach program produced through the publication of the Foreign Policy Association. This is a global citizen discussion group designed to educate, encourage debate, and uncover policies related to the chapters in the text.
The topics this year are: Outer Space * Changing Demographics(Bonus Article) * Climate Change*Russia * Myammar and ASEAN * Quad Alliance * Drug Policy in Latin America * Industrial Policy * Biden’s Agenda.
The format of the program is to offer individuals a way to express their opinions, experiences, and thoughts on national and international policies.
Start date will be Wednesday January 19, 2022, at 1:00pm to 3:00pm and will continue each Wednesday for eight weeks until March 9, 2022. The Mattapoisett Library will co-sponsor this program by offering both the Zoom video platform and in person participation.
Each session includes the viewing of a 20 minute DVD film associated with the topic of discussion, that begins sharply at 1:00pm.
Individual price is $40.00, if two people are sharing one book the price is $50.00, the fee includes the text, expenses and the price of one shared DVD.
To register you need to send your check with “Great Decisions” listed in the memo along with your name, address, phone number, and email to Mattapoisett Woman’s Club Box 1444, Mattapoisett MA 02739. This is a first come first serve registration with a maximum of thirty people, only. The Mattapoisett Woman’s club and the Library look forward to your participation.
