We’re getting into the spooky spirit and would love to have you join us for our upcoming, free Halloween events.
Our annual pumpkin decorating contest is back. Check out a pumpkin with your library card and then bring it back to the Library by Monday, October 26, to enter it in our contest. All manners of decoration are allowed, just no carving. Community votes will determine the winners.
If your child wants to decorate a pumpkin, they can do that on Tuesday, October 13, between 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm as part of our After School Activities program. Suggested for grades K-4, we’ll provide kid-friendly supplies to decorate a pumpkin and enter it in our contest.
If you’re making your own Halloween costume, you won’t want to miss our Family Makerspace Day between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 17. We’ll have tools, supplies and staff support to help make your vision come true.
Adults, teens, and tweens (in grades 5 and up) won’t want to miss hearing about ghosts and legends from storyteller Jeff Belanger on Tuesday, October 27, at 6:00 pm. Registration for this program is required; you can register at elizabethtaberlibrary.org/events.
Our Halloween spirit culminates in our annual Halloween Party on Thursday, October 29, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. We’ll have tricks, treats, and activities for kids of all ages. This family-friendly event is one of our favorite programs of the year.
