The Marion Fireworks Committee is proud to announce its Fireworks Auction and Gala event scheduled for March 23. The day begins at 1:00 pm for an auction preview and ice cream social. This event is free to the public and will be held until 4:00 pm. This includes a cakewalk, photo booth, and a chance to bid on all the auction items.
Bid on items such as Red Sox tickets and gift certificates from all your local favorite business and restaurants. There is even a flagpole worth over $850. The students of Sippican School have donated items to create themed baskets – gardening, kitchen, sports, outdoor fun, and ‘pamper yourself’, just to name a few.
The festivities continue with an adult Beach Party Cocktail Gala from 7:00 pm -11:00 pm. Tickets are available at the door – $25 each or two for $45. There will be a cash bar and light refreshments. The students from Old Colony will be providing all the food for the event!
This is a community event with everyone involved – seniors baking cakes for the cake walk, students and their families donating items for the baskets, students from Old Colony making the food, and local businesses donating items to be part of our silent auction. To date, we have raised $32,000 toward our goal of $50,000.
