Take a break from the busyness of your day and join health coach and mindfulness teacher Lauren Masse for a peaceful 30-minute mindfulness and meditation session on September 11 at noon. Whether you’re new to meditation or have practiced before, this class offers a welcoming space to slow down, breathe and reconnect with the present moment. Join in person or virtually. Registration is optional.
Join us for an evening with acclaimed author Eric Jay Dolin on September 16 at 5:30 pm. He will discuss his 2022 publication Rebels at Sea: Privateering in the American Revolution and hold a Q&A with attendees. This program is supported by a grant from the Mattapoisett Cultural Council, a local agency that is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. Registration for this event is optional.
Celebrate the start of Autumn with a Fall Equinox Party at the library on September 22 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Join us for seasonal beverages and snacks, games, a unique fall craft, music and socializing. Patrons of all ages are welcome to celebrate with us. Please register to join the fun.
Rick Keller is offering a free community-wide collectibles appraisal event on September 26. Gather up all your Pokémon, sports cards, memorabilia, coins, watches, video games or consoles, comics, fine/broken jewelry, sterling silver, etc. to see if you have treasure or trash. You must register for a 10- minute time slot to participate.
