On Sunday, October 25, the Mattapoisett Yacht Club (MYC) hosted Red Brook Harbor Yacht Club from Pocasset for a chili/chowder cook-off. Four chowders and seven chilis were blind tested. Over 70 people took part in this first annual challenge. After two hours of tasting, the votes came in. Tim Warren took first place. Beth Oleson-Richie Pease duo took second place. Martha Zuther took third place.
The top three finishers were all from MYC. MYC captures the Golden Spoon Award for 2026.
