Plumb Library storytimes are an interactive mix of early literacy fun with books, letters, numbers, songs, fingerplays, action rhymes, music, movement, games and lively discussions. This fall, we are offering three different sessions, starting October 6. Please register on the library’s online Events Calendar for each day you’d like to attend.
Baby Storytime (Ages 6–24 months) on Tuesday mornings from 10:30 am to 11:15 am. There will be songs, rhymes and books geared to babies and toddlers. We will have about 15 minutes of playtime after songs.
Family Storytime (Ages 2–5) on Wednesday mornings from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. These are themed storytimes to build early literacy skills with pictures, words, and music. Afterward, we will all do a craft together.
Preschool Storytime (Ages 4–5) on Tuesday afternoons from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm. These themed storytimes build upon early literacy skills with pictures, words and music. This storytime is especially designed for those getting ready to enter school, with an emphasis on longer, more complex stories and classroom skills such as sitting and listening quietly. Afterward, we will practice preschool skills such as tracing, writing and cutting.
Please contact Ms. Fuchsia at the library with any questions.
