The Mattapoisett Yacht Club’s Fall Round the Bay Race, scheduled for August 29, will have one start for the Spinnaker Class, a separate start for the Non-Spinnaker Class, and another separate start for the Double-Handed Non-Spinnaker Class rather than the staggered “Pursuit” start that was used in the Spring Round-the-Bay Race. The course begins and finishes outside Mattapoisett Harbor. This race is part of the series of long-distance races sponsored by local yacht clubs to determine the overall winner of the 2026 Buzzards Bay Trophy.
