Come to the library for a series of Senior Technology Workshops this summer. The first presentation, Cyber Security in 2026, will be held on July 9 at 10:30 am, and is sponsored by MFPL, ORRHS, and the North Attleboro Senior Tech Program. Free technology help services will be available following the presentation. No registration required.
Join Jeff Belanger at MFPL for a presentation on “Turning Passion into Your Profession,” on July 14 at 6:00 pm. This motivational talk helps lay out a road map to self-employment or building a side hustle for almost any type of job. No registration required.
Play Monopoly with a local twist. “Purchase” Mattapoisett businesses, but be wise with your money, or you will go bankrupt. Register to play in the Adult Board Game Club. One session will be held on June 15th at 6pm, and another will be held on July 28 at 6:00 pm.
Adult Crafting with Ms. Miyuki will take place on July 21 at 6:00 pm. Kick back and dive into a crafty night, creating an adorably purr-fect kitty diamond art coaster. All materials are provided and registration is required.
The Well-Read Wednesdays Nonfiction Book Group will meet on July 22 at 6pm. This month’s book is “Never Saw Me Coming: How I Outsmarted the F.B.I. and the Entire Banking System – and Pocketed $40 Million,” by Tanya Smith. Copies will be available at the library. New members welcome.
Let your dog unleash their inner Pawblo Picasso. Bring your furry friend(s) to the library between 11am and 1pm on July 24 where they can create their own masterpieces through lick painting. Registration is optional, but leashes are required. Visit our website for more details.
MFPL is excited to announce a film screening of the award-winning movie, “In the Whale,” on August 7 at 6pm. The film tells the true account of a local, Cape-Cod fisherman who was swallowed by a whale and survived to tell the tale. Watch the movie and then participate in a Q&A with the director, David Abel. The Garden Lady is coming to the library for a presentation on “Success with Vegetables,” on August 13 at 2pm. Learn the best ways to succeed with your vegetable garden/growing, from how to treat a range of issues, how to make the most of your fall & winter harvests, and more. C.L.
