It’s getting time again for Rochester’s Memorial Day Boat Race down the Mattapoisett River. Art Benner, chairperson of the Boat Race since 1982, will be our speaker at the Wednesday, March 20, Historical Society Speakers meeting, speaking on all things Boat Race. If you’ve wondered why it started, when it started, and its rules and regulations, please come to the meeting and get your answers. The meeting starts at 7:00 pm at the E. Rochester Church/Museum at 355 County Road, Rochester. Members and non-members are welcome. Refreshments will follow.
