Looking for storytimes? Family Storytime, for kids ages 2 and up and their families, happens on Thursday mornings in October at 10:30. Baby Storytime, for ages 0-2 and their families, happens on Friday mornings in October at 10:30.
We’re throwing a Halloween Party. It starts at 10:30 am on Saturday, October 17, with storyteller Rona Leventhal. After the show, take part in some spooky crafts and check out everyone’s costume. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Mattapoisett Local Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency.
Join us for a Sunset Cinema Movie Showing on the MFPL Lawn. We will be showing Scooby-Doo (2002). This outdoor movie will start at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 21, and has a run time of 1 hour and 26 minutes. Bring a blanket, chairs to lounge on and some snacks to fully enjoy the movie experience. This event is designed for community members of all ages — no registration required.
On Thursday, October 22, at 3:30 pm, we’re offering a fun seasonal craft for kids ages 10 and up. Create a Halloween Miniature Garden with tiny gravestones, skulls, spooky trees and figurines like witches or ghosts. Supplies are limited; registration is required.
Kids Graphic Novel Book Club will be reading Dracula’s Brunch Club by Brian Gonsar. Copies will be available at the children’s desk. Contact faguiar@sailsinc.org with any questions. Registration is optional. Perfect for ages 9 and up. The club will be meeting on Friday, October 23, at 3:30 pm.
