On September 26, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, the Historical Society will be at the COA for the Block Party and 250th celebration. We will join the Historical Commission for games for all ages, a look at the history of Rochester’s various town hall buildings, and, weather permitting, the results of our search so far for Revolutionary War veterans. We’ll have 250th hats and some other items for sale. There will be a lot to do, and we hope that you’ll stop by.
On September 22, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, we’ll have our first yard sale drop-off time. Your donations can be brought to the museum at 355 County Road. Drive completely around the building to the cemetery-side door. Please, this is not a junk sale, so if you wouldn’t buy it, don’t give it to us. We have just as much trouble getting rid of “stuff” as anyone else, so we’re looking for saleable items. The second drop-off day is October 3, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. There will be other chances to drop off items before the sale on October 17 and 18.
October 4 will be our Cranberry Bake Sale and Raffles. I’m looking for bakers. You can get in touch at 617-750-2818 or eshbach2@aol.com. You can make something without cranberries.
