The Haunted Mansion

One Halloween night, Miriah, Cameron, and Michael went trick-or-treating. This was their first time going alone. As they walked up Cedar lane they saw a really old house. They went up the walkway and knocked on the door.

All of a sudden they heard a loud creaking noise. Miriah spoke up in a scared voice: what was that? she asked. As they turned around to see what they heard, they gasped in terror.

There, right in from of them, was a man with no head stepping out of the graveyard with the gate door swinging open behind him. As he turned around they realized he carried a jack-o-lantern, which the kids figured was his head. All three kids screamed in terror and ran right into the haunted house.

Cameron was in the lead running up the stairs with the other two at his heels. They all hid in a closet. After they finally caught their breath and thought it was safe, they walked outside as quietly as possible. When they got outside they saw the freaky man with his pumpkin on his shoulders this time. They took off down the street screaming as the man chased them. Even when the man stopped chasing them, they still ran all the way to Michael's house and hid in his room.

After that night, Miriah, Cameron and Michael never went trick-or-treating again.
