Pursuant to G.L. c.40A, s.5, at 7:10 pm on September 17, 2018 the Marion Planning Board will hold a public hearing to discuss the proposed amendment to the Marion Zoning Bylaw by adding new Section 230-8.18, et seq., ADULT USE MARIJUANA ESTABLISHMENTS as well as amending Sections 230-4.2 and 230-7.6 as they relate to proposed new Section 230-8.18. Pursuant to G.L. c.94G, et seq., and the regulations found at 935 CMR 500.00, et seq, the proposed amendments would allow within the Limited Industrial Zoning District and upon receipt of a special permit from the Planning Board, the cultivation of marijuana for adult use; the processing and packaging of marijuana for adult use, including marijuana that is in the form of smoking or vaping materials, food products, oils, aerosols, ointments and other products; and the retail sale or distribution of marijuana.
The public hearing will be held at the Town House, 2 Spring Street, Marion, Massachusetts 02738. The public is invited to attend and comment on this matter and may inspect the full text of the proposed changes at the Office of the Planning Board and the Office of the Town Clerk during normal business hours.
