SCHOOL BUS TRANSPORTATION
The Old Rochester Regional School Committee invites sealed bids for furnishing Regular Day School Transportation for pupils residing in the Town of Mattapoisett, Marion and Rochester and who attend the public elementary schools within the Town and the Old Rochester Regional Junior High and Senior High Schools.
This contract is for the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2027 with the School Committee's option to renew for a fourth and fifth year.
Bids will be received on behalf of the School Committee at the Office of the Superintendent of Schools, Old Rochester Regional School District, 135 Marion Road, Mattapoisett MA 02739 until 09:00 am on Monday, December 18, 2023, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read. If, at the time of the scheduled bid opening, the Office of the Superintendent of Schools is closed due to uncontrolled events such as fire, snow, ice, or building evacuation, the bid opening will be postponed until 09:00 am on the next normal business day. Bids will be accepted until that date and time.
A pre-bid conference to review the specifications will be held on December 4, 2023, at 10:00 am in the Office of the Superintendent of Schools.
Specifications and related documents may be obtained at the Office of the Superintendent of Schools or by telephone at (508) 758-2772 ext. 1945.
This bid and contract are solicited under Chapter 30B of the Massachusetts General Laws (Uniform Procurement Act).
The School Committee reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.

Public notice is hereby given of the Waterways application by the Elizabeth Luther to reconstruct and maintain a stone groin at 28 West Avenue in the municipality of Marion, in and over flowed tidelands of Sippican Harbor. The proposed project has been determined to be water-dependent.
The Department will consider all written comments on this Waterways application received within 30 days subsequent to the "Notification Date". Failure of any aggrieved person or group of ten citizens or more, with at least five of the ten residents residing in the municipality(s) in which the license or permitted activity is located, to submit written comments to the Waterways Regulation Program by the Public Comment Deadline will result in the waiver of any right to an adjudicatory hearing in accordance with 310 CMR 9.13(4)(c).

PUBLIC NOTICE OF REGULATION
A public hearing, Pursuant to Chapter 11, Section 31 of the General Laws (M.G.L. 111, Section 31) was held on November 1, 2023, at the Rochester Town Hall meeting room.
The Rochester Board of Health voted to approve the amended version of Regulation of the Rochester Board of Health Restricting the Sale of Tobacco Products.
The amendment defines adult-only Retail Tobacco Store, Health Care Institutions, and Rolling Papers. Requirements of Tobacco Sales Permits, including basic cap, advanced cap, sale of business, and retail density are explained. Smoking Bars are prohibited in Rochester, cigar sales are regulated, flavored tobacco products are prohibited, nicotine content in electronic delivery systems with content greater than 35 milligrams per milliliter. Out of package sales are prohibited, nonresidential roll your own machines are prohibited. Violation and fining structure have been amended.
This regulation is effective on November 15, 2023.
