The Marion Board of Health will conduct a public hearing remotely on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 4:00 pm on the variance request submitted by Schneider, Davignon & Leone, Inc. pertaining to the property located at 689 Point Road, further identified as Map 7, Lot 19B.
The following variances are requested from Title 5 (310 CMR) of the State Environmental Code and the Marion Sanitary Code:
310 CMR 15.212: Depth to Groundwater: Request a variance to install the bottom of the soil absorption system 2 feet above the maximum seasonal high groundwater rather than the 4 foot requirement.
Marion Sanitary Code 4.60.2: Sewage System Flow Design Criteria:
Request to design for a 440 gal/day per Title 5 standards vs. 510 gal/day requirement.

An Open Hearing of the Mattapoisett Conservation Commission will be held on Monday, May 24, 2021 at 6:30 pm regarding a Notice of Intent Application submitted by Estate of Raymond W. & Alice D. Clapp. This Open Meeting is being conducted remotely consistent with Governor Baker's Executive Order of March 12, 2020, due to the current State of Emergency in the Commonwealth due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
The Applicant proposes to clear phragmite vegetation to create a seasonal campsite for use by the Applicant's family.
The proposed work will be performed within Land Subject to Coastal Storm Flowage, Flood Zone VE (E1. 19), and within a Coastal Dune. The property is located off Mattapoisett Neck Road and is further identified as Lots #39 & #42 on Assessors Map #15.

WATER MAIN FLUSHING
PUBLIC NOTICE
Water main flushing will be conducted on 5/24/2021 AND 5/25/2021.
Flushing will begin 5/24/2021 at 7:30 pm until 3:00 am.
Flushing will be continued 5/25/2021 to address any dirty water concerns. 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Discolored or red water may be expected along with periods of low water pressure in some areas.
Locations most likely to be affected are those south of Route 6 extending from Main Street. Other areas may be affected due to system hydraulics please contact our office if you have any questions or concerns.
Chlorine may be injected into the system before flushing begins and will continue for a period after flushing is completed.
