The Mattapoisett Conservation Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 6:30 pm in the Main Conference Room at Town Hall located at 16 Main Street in Mattapoisett on a Notice of Intent submitted by GIOVANNI E. CIMINO.
The Applicant proposes to complete the project which was previously approved by the Department of Environmental Protection under File No. SE 44-1099.
The work will consist of the construction of a single family dwelling on the existing concrete column foundation, the construction of a wetland replication area and the installation of a driveway, associated utilities and minor fill to grade and complete the site development.
The remaining work will be performed within the 100 ft. buffer zone of a Bordering Vegetated Wetland and Land Subject to Coastal Storm Flowage, Flood Zone VE (El. 17).
The property is known as 31 Shawmut Road and is further identified as Lots #109, #109A, #86 and #84 on Mattapoisett Assessors Map #15A.

The Mattapoisett Planning Board will hold a Public Hearing pursuant to M.G.L. Ch. 40A on Monday, November 5, 2018 at 7:00 pm at Mattapoisett Town Hall, located at 16 Main Street, Mattapoisett, MA on the following proposed amendment to the Mattapoisett Zoning Bylaw:
To see if the Town will vote to amend the Town's Zoning Bylaw by adding a new Article 14, MARIJUANA OVERLAY DISTRICT BYLAW, and further to amend the Table of Contents to add Article 14, "Marijuana Overlay District Bylaw"
The intent of the Bylaw is to provide for the placement of Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers within the Marijuana Overlay District, to be comprised of land solely within the Limited Industry Zoning District. The Bylaw provides for location and dimensional controls, Special Permit, and Site Plan Review requirements.
The amendment is on file with the Town Clerk's Office, Mattapoisett Town Hall, 16 Main Street, Mattapoisett, MA 02739, Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and at the Planning Board Office, the Board of Selectmen's Office, and may be viewed at www.mattapoisett.net.
