Marion (Old Rochester) is one of the oldest towns in the United States, and the Sippican Historical Society maintains an extensive collection of documentation on its historic buildings. The Mattapoisett Library now has eight fishing poles available for check out. Included are both saltwater and freshwater equipment, in great shape, thanks to patron and lifelong fisherman David Kaplan. As part of our annual reading program for children we adapted to the times and made weekly reading kits to pick up at the library – and it was a huge success!
