In his tenure, Mr. Duffy has shared his love of baseball and squash, and has served as Dean and dorm parent. Maxwell, the organist and choir director of the First Congregational Church in Marion for 57 years, will be honored at a retirement celebration service on Sunday, September 9, followed by an 11:00 am reception in the community center. Bill’s service has spanned the terms of seven ministers and three interim ministers. He has provided musical direction for well over 2,300 services.
