One Friday each month, the Society will present a classic film and offer a discussion on its historical context or significance. Tonight’s feature film will be 'The African Queen'. The event will be held at the Marion Music Hall on Front Street, and will be offered free of charge to the public. Each film will begin at 7:00 pm, and refreshments will be available.

Marion Natural History Museum591 viewsOn Wednesday, October 23 the Marion Natural History Museum's afterschool group went on a fall nature walk looking for signs of fall. One lucky student found an owl pellet under a tree! We were able to find burrows, nests, and even a small snake hiding under a log. We observed the different colors of the leaves of trees and shrubs and looked for mushrooms. It was great to spend such a beautiful fall day with these inquisitive kids!
