The Marion town band entertained the crowd until dusk when the night's big show lit up the sky's above Sippican Harbor. We tried out some of the equipment and discussed working conditions. We learned about the three different types of rocks – sedimentary, igneous, and metamorphic, and how they form, and inspected various rocks and minerals and fossils presenter Jim Pierson has collected over the years.
