Top Tigers480 viewsThe Marion Tigers ended their season as league champions in the Marion and Mattapoisett South Coast Youth Baseball Alliance. The Tigers finished their season with a record of 17-5. Game three of the series final was played on July 6th at Town Field in Marion. Both teams had won one game each entering the final. The game ended with a final score of 15-2 the Tigers defeating the Rangers of Mattapoisett.

Marion Natural History Museum 479 viewsOn August 8, the Marion Natural History Museum hosted Amy Kukulya, a research engineer with Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and one of the lead authorities on the SharkCam research vehicle. Kukulya spoke about the science of tagging great white sharks and shared video footage as a SharkCam was repeatedly attacked by a shark; yet, with only a dent, survived to continue following and monitoring these incredible animals.
