Marion Natural History Museum2 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's Coastal Explorations group had a wonderful time investigating vernal pools, ponds and lakes, as well as rocky shores, salt marshes and beaches. We found turtles, eels and frogs going through metamorphosis in our freshwater explorations, as well as a winter flounder, killifish, blue crabs and fiddler crabs in our coastal environments. We also spent time cleaning up plastic and other pollutants along our shoreline and discussing the importance of wetlands in keeping our wat
