Marion Natural History Museum104 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum hosted Bethany Boucher of Amazing Animal Ambassadors Monday afternoon. We met Milo the Fennec Fox and had a chance to compare attributes of Peter Quill the hedgehog to Iris the tenrec. We also met a skunk, a ferret, and a very friendly chinchilla. Many thanks to the Marion Cultural Council for partially funding this event. Photos courtesy Elizabeth Leidhold

Marion Natural History Museum 104 viewsOn a beautiful Saturday morning, the Nature Journaling group met with artist Tricia Cassady to learn about some techniques for journaling in nature. We took part in some exercises to loosen up and then had fun finding our own specimens to draw. We also had a chance to discuss our different experiences and have some laughs. The museum may be starting to meet monthly so if you’d like to join us, please email the director at www.marionmuseum.org. Photo courtesy Elizabeth Leidhold
