We took part in some exercises to loosen up and then had fun finding our own specimens to draw. We also had a chance to discuss our different experiences and have some laughs. The children enjoyed a much-deserved celebration with Christmas food and cookies, and excitement filled the air with the singing of carols and the making of a beautiful nativity scene that they take home to set under their Christmas trees. Many thanks to the Youth Group for all their hard work preparing the evening’s Louisiana-style foods and for leading the games. Town Administrator Geoffrey Gorman, State Representative Mark Sylvia, State Senator Kelly Dooner, Executive Office of Economic Development Interim Secretary Ashley Stolba, and Select Board Chair Randy Parker all spoke before the cutting, with Parker handing the big scissors off to the Stolba and Dooner to do the actual grand opening.
