The kids found painted turtles, a garter snake, bull frog tadpoles, green frog tadpoles and salamander larvae. We collected examples of plankton, caught fish and frogs in our nets, investigated tide pools and took trips to Bird and Ram Island. Later in the evening, Ted and Elizabeth Brainard visited Coahuila with Executive Director Liz Leidhold, while Treasurer Mike Cronin set up a telescope on the sidewalk out front of the Elizabeth Taber Library where attendees took turns viewing Jupiter and its moons. Halloween Parade171 viewsThe streets of Marion were flooded with Halloween Parade participants and attendees, as members of the Sippican Elementary School Band helped the “witches” of the Marion Art Center lead a procession that began at the Music Hall and went down Front Street, up Main Street past the Elizabeth Taber statue and onto Spring Street, where children were met at Town House by staff members handing out candy for the kids. An advent wreath is a circle of greenery, marked by four candles that represent the four Sundays of the season of Advent. An additional candle is lit as each new Sunday is celebrated in Advent.
