Hundreds were in attendance to pay tribute, remember, and support local singers and musical artists. Over 20 different performances occurred at the stage, including The Showstoppers, of which Nolan was a member beginning in 2014 at the age of nine. Marion Natural History Museum134 viewsOn November 30, the Marion Natural History Museum's after-school group had a chance to learn about the different types of trees in our area and to look at some equipment used by foresters to help protect our trees. By looking at a tree "cookie," we were able to count the rings to determine its age and learn about the services, the different sections, including the heart wood, sap wood and bark or phloem provides the tree.

Scout Camp Fire134 viewsMarion Boy Scouts Troop 32 and Cub Scouts Pack 32 are in need of assistance after a March 8 brush fire destroyed buildings and equipment at Camp Hadley. Marion Fire reported on its Facebook page that the department received a 911 call for a brushfire that got away from an adjacent property owner. Engine No. 1 arrived to discover the fire had quickly spread to both of the outbuildings used by Camp Hadley. Mutual aid followed from Wareham, Mattapoisett and Rochester Fire departments,
