Cleaning Up640 views135 volunteers fanned out across Old Sippican armed with rubbish bags, gloves and Manducca trash grabbers helping to make Marion a bit greener during the town's Arbor Day Spring Clean up. Marion has held the event annually, under a variety of names, over the past three decades, encouraging residents to take pride in their community by clearing the roadways of trash and debris. Town Tour640 viewsAfter being introduced in class to the history, geography, and government of Marion, third graders from Sippican School recently took a walking tour of Marion village during their last week of school.
Students visited many historical sites such as the Marion Townhouse (formerly Tabor Academy), Marion General Store, and the Sippican Historical Society. They also saw the Marion Music Hall, Art Center, Women's Club (formerly Handy's Tavern), Beverly Yacht Club, and several private homes.
