4th of July Parade497 viewsThe Sun finally broke through the clouds to help make for a glorious Tri-Town Fourth of July weekend highlighted by Marion's annual Independence Day Parade, hosted by the Benjamin D. Cushing Post 2425 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Marion Natural History Museum497 viewsThe Marion Natural History Museum's afterschool group enjoyed learning about minerals and fossils with geologist Jim Pierson. The group also compared various artifacts such as relative sizes of Megaladon teeth versus White Shark, and took a look at many examples of fossils such as fish, leaves, and the tiny tracks of a trilobite.
