St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church200 viewsOn February 21, St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church in Marion celebrated Fat Tuesday with a Mardi Gras party. We ate delicious food and played lots of great games. Many thanks to the Youth Group for all their hard work preparing the evening’s Louisiana-style foods and for leading the games. The event included musical entertainment by Tri-County musicians, Grades 4 and 5 bands from Sippican Elementary School, Sippican Historical Society carolers and Tabor Academy students, horse-drawn carriage rides, street entertainment, seasonal refreshments courtesy of area merchants, goodie bags from VASE, and crafts for kids. Sippican Woman’s Club 200 viewsThe Sippican Woman’s Club along with several homes splendidly decked-out for holiday celebrations were opened to the public on December 7. Breathtaking decorations coupled with spectacular homes both vintage and new were a visual feast. Since 1947 the club has given back to the community in the form of scholarships to area students.
