Romance and Dance559 viewsFlutist and Marion resident Wendy Rolfe and pianist Deborah DeWolf Emery will perform a tea-time concert titled “Romance & Dance!” at the First Congregational Church of Marion on Saturday, January 26 beginning at 5:00 pm. The program will feature lively tangos, Brazilian dances, lyrical romances, and Eastern European folk rhythms by world-renowned performers. Suggested donations at the door of $8 ($4 for students) will benefit the music program at the First Congregational Church.

Celebrating the 4th559 viewsMarion's annual fireworks display attracted several thousand people to the town's Silvershell Beach Park on Friday evening July, 3. The Marion town band entertained the crowd until dusk when the night's big show lit up the sky's above Sippican Harbor. The group also compared various artifacts such as relative sizes of Megaladon teeth versus White Shark, and took a look at many examples of fossils such as fish, leaves, and the tiny tracks of a trilobite.
